  • Inlet & Outlet: 4 inch PVC with fittings

  • Stirer: 40mm PVC pipe in 50mm sleeve

  • Gas collector: 1m flexible membrane

  • Equipment: Gas pump, gas flow meter, scrubber, gas cooker

  • Capacity: 3m /day

  • To better understand technical elements of AD plant design for maximum biogas production
  • To produce sufficient biogas to test biogas equipment e.g. scrubbing system and a modified
  •  LPG cooker
  • To produce biogas for compression into CBG
  • Very fast to construct and put together
  • Needed a crane to lift and put in position
  • Took more than 5 hours to fill with water for startup
  • Require more time and feedstock to get going
  • Have caps on the outlet so digestate can be controlled
  • Large biogas plants not suited for homes in Seychelles due to space requirements
  • Large volume require a lot more feedsctock and innoculation to start
  • Long term viability is being assessed
