The Regional Innovation Challenge is an innovative ideas competition for the Indian Ocean, which aims to unveil innovative solutions proposed by people working in a variety of fields.

The themes of the first edition of the RIC are as follows

• Turning waste into energy
• Circular Economy
• Waste Management
• Waste Value Chain Management

Phases will be organized in the participating countries Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius and Seychelles, culminating in a regional final for the best ideas.
