The Scientific Committee of the TWENex programme invites you to submit an abstract for the International Science, Research and Innovation Conference (ISRI Con) 2025, an international event taking place from 18^th to 19^th March 2025 at the University of Seychelles. This event provides a unique platform to engage with leading researchers, innovators, and entrepreneurs who are at the forefront of converting waste into sustainable energy. We are confident that your unique insights and groundbreaking work in this field will significantly enrich the discussions and collaborations at the conference.

• Researchers, doctoral students and academics
• Innovators and entrepreneurs
• Policy makers and regulators
• Professionals/Individuals in the field of waste-to-energy transformation

🔍 Topics of Interest:

• Technological advancements in waste-to-energy conversion: Share your research on new technologies and methods for converting waste into usable energy.
• Policy and regulatory landscape for waste-to-energy transformation: Discuss the current policies and regulations affecting the waste-to-energy sector and propose improvements.
• Case studies of successful waste-to-energy projects: Showcase your successful projects, your entrepreneurial ventures and innovative business models that are making a difference in the waste-to-energy sector.

📝 Submission Guidelines:

• The author must clearly indicate their selected topic of interest during submission.
• Abstracts should be no more than 500 words, clearly outlining the (1) title, (2) background and objectives, (3) methodology, (4) findings, and (5) implications of your work. Graphs and tables are not allowed.
• Please include a brief biography of the author(s), highlighting your experience and contributions in the field.
• Abstracts should be submitted in English or French to ensure a broad understanding among all participants.
• Please note that submitted abstracts will be reproduced exactly as provided, without any proofreading. Therefore, ensure your abstract is free from errors, including spelling, grammatical, and scientific inaccuracies.
• All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee who will make the final decision about the acceptance of an abstract.
• If an abstract is accepted for oral presentation, the designated presenting author will be required to deliver a 10-minute presentation, either in person or online.
• Upon acceptance of your abstract and finalisation of the workshop schedule, you will receive detailed guidelines for the oral/online presentation, along with the specific date and venue for your session.

Key points:

• The Conference will be held in both English and French.
• The registration is free of charge.
• Presenting authors of all accepted abstracts will be required to register for the conference. Failure to register by the deadline, 6 March 2025, will result in the withdrawal of the abstract from the programme.
• The event will also have both in-person and virtual participation.
• The cost of in-person participation in the workshop will have to be borne by the participants.
• Should authors wish to withdraw from the conference, a written statement reflecting the reasons for withdrawing your abstract must be sent to [email protected] by 28 February 2025.
